Gunnison Valley Police Department

The official website for the Gunnison Valley Police Department.

Welcome to  the official site of the Gunnison Valley Police Department.

In 2016, the cities of Gunnison and Centerfield  voted to their individual police departments and enact a full time police department to better serve their residents.  This decision came as a natural progression as both cities police officers had always enjoyed a positive working relationship with each other.

The Gunnison Valley Police Department operates under a governing board which includes the mayor of both Gunnison and Centerfield. After serving as the interim police chief for the department, Brett McCall was hired by the governing board to serve as Chief of Police.

Today,  Chief McCall has a full-time staff of up to 5 police officers , with the addition of many part-time law enforcement officers from the surrounding area. These part-time officers work in other law enforcement capacities including the Utah Department of Corrections, Sanpete County Sheriff,  and other agencies. Many of these officers enjoy working for the police department because of the location in Utah.

The Gunnison Valley Police Department prides itself on it professionalism and dedication to the community. We believe in providing the best service to the people of Gunnison Valley. We thank all those in the community who support us.
